From Concept to Reality: China's First 'AI + Biomanufacturing' Alliance Debuts at International Bio-Fermentation Expo

March 2026

From March 9 to 11, the 16th International Bio-Fermentation Conference was grandly held at the Jinan Yellow River International Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing together global leaders in bio-fermentation to explore industrial innovation and upgrading.

OxTium Technology, together with Hebei Yijiaen Intelligent Technology, made a significant exhibition debut. As China's first full-stack 'AI + Biomanufacturing' solution alliance, they showcased AI-driven innovations, instantly becoming the center of attention and drawing widespread interest and inquiries.

Only Exhibitor to Realize 'AI + Bio-Fermentation' On-Site Demonstration

As the only exhibitor at the event to achieve real-world integration of AI with bio-fermentation scenarios, OxTium and Yijiaen broke away from traditional technology displays by bringing an AI intelligent control screen, DCS system, and transfer system directly to the venue, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the tangible impact of AI on bio-fermentation.

Visitors could directly observe AI's autonomous operation and intelligent optimization throughout the fermentation process, from real-time monitoring of core parameters like pH and dissolved oxygen to dynamic adjustments of process flows and intelligent output of production decisions. This made 'AI + Bio-Fermentation' not just an abstract concept but a tangible, verifiable industrial reality, establishing the alliance's technical strength as the most compelling credential at the event.

During the exhibition, OxTium Technology Co-founder & CTO Deng Siwei took the stage at Hall N3 to deliver a keynote speech, addressing industry pain points and delving into the technical logic behind AI + biomanufacturing implementation pathways.

In his speech, Deng Siwei highlighted the dual 'twin' systems enabled by AI — the 'cell factory' for R&D and the 'twin factory' for production. The former leverages high-throughput virtual screening and genome perturbation simulation to achieve 'intervention first, experiment later,' significantly shortening R&D cycles. The latter relies on a 1:1 virtual replica of the physical factory and soft sensing of core parameters to optimize the entire industrial production process.

He also detailed AI-enabled automation functions such as anomaly prediction, endpoint prediction, and intelligent feeding, as well as dual-spectrum sensor-integrated intelligent continuous fermentation technology, providing a viable technical reference for the intelligent upgrade of the biomanufacturing industry.

'AI + Biomanufacturing' Moves from Concept to Reality

Currently, the deep integration of AI and bio-fermentation globally is still in the exploratory phase, with few real-world applications and mass production cases. The industry has long faced the core challenge of transitioning from 'experience-driven' to 'intelligence-driven' operations.

The solution alliance formed by OxTium Technology and Yijiaen is not only a pioneering move in the industry but also a cutting-edge technological exploration grounded in actual industrial needs.

This exhibition serves as an initial showcase of the alliance's technological achievements, and more importantly, it sends a strong signal to the industry that the intelligent transformation of biomanufacturing is underway: 'AI + Biomanufacturing' has moved from concept to reality!
